Separated from Praça de São Tiago by the Domus Municipalis (former town hall building), you can admire in Largo da Oliveira the beautiful Church of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira, built in 1387, the Padrão do Salado, a unique historical monument in the country, and its beautiful properties from medieval times.
Museu Alberto Sampaio
Created in 1928 to receive the assets of religious institutions in the region that were extinct in the 19th century, the Alberto Sampaio Museum has an important collection of works of sacred art (more than 2000 pieces).
Largo do Toural
In the 17th century, this beautiful square was located outside the walls, facing the city’s main gate.
Santuário da Penha
The Penha Sanctuary is located on Monte da Penha, in Guimarães. It is its full name or the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Penha.
